Mix & Match Thursday: How to Layer Your Beachwear

Hello friends! Welcome back to my blog. I hope today has been a great start for you so far. If it hasn’t, not to worry! Trust that the day will get better 😀

Do you remember last Thursday’s post? (If you haven’t read it, click here) I started the Mix & Match Thursday series here on the blog. Basically, the purpose of this series is to challenge myself and put together different pieces from my wardrobe and share it on this platform every Thursday with you guys! I wanted to see how I can restyle my outfits in different ways. With this, I hope to inspire you guys to do the same. Challenge yourself to experiment how many times you can repeat your outfits by styling it differently.

POM POM CROP TOP, SANDRO CROP TOP & STYLENANDA DENIM SKIRT

Now that summer is over, we say goodbye to sexy off-shoulder tops and sleeveless crop tops. What if you don’t want to store away that summer top you love so much just yet?? Today’s post will show how you can restyle your beachwear by adding different textures to your look. Here I layered my beachwear from Glamorous, with a satin crop top from Sandro. Paired it with my denim Stylenanda skirt for a casual vibe and my beachwear is ready for a day out in the city! Do note that I live in a city with a warmer climate, so I am able to style my look this way. If you’re in a city with lower temperatures, you can always restyle your summer favs with warmer layers.

Here are some tips:

  1. Layering – Off-shoulder tops, crop tops, summer dresses, you name it. There’s always a way to restyle these outfits to make it more appropriate for the cooler months. Layer layer layer! It’s super on trend right now. We have moved into exciting times in fashion. There’s no real one trend going on. Instead, fashion enthusiasts are embracing all sorts of trends! There’s always something for everyone. Experiment and find a style that makes you feel empowered 🙂
  2. Textures  – Beachwear materials such as cotton are usually very light and airy. If you’re living in cooler climates, opt for heavier textures. Heavier textures will add structure to your loose fitting, light-weighted materials.
