Say what?? We’re already in September?!
Hey guys, welcome back! I’m finally home from a busy month of travelling. I still can’t wrap my head around the fact that we’re already in September… 3 more months till 2017 is over! Can we let that sink in for a second?
So August has been a pretty eventful month for me. Been travelling pretty much every week, whilst trying to keep up with my post schedule. Not going to lie, it was pretty damn tough. I had all these ideas to create more content to share with you guys. But travelling while editing, plus learning how to do videos… what a challenge!! It all worked out in the end 🙂 I’ve started posting a couple of videos on my Youtube channel. Do check it out here, and don’t forget to subscribe 😉 I’ll be posting new videos very soon.
Today, I’d like to do a beachwear lookbook. Here’s what I wore during my beach holiday at Gili Trawangan (an island in Indonesia). If you’ve seen my vlog, you will definitely recognise these outfits!
Riding on the gingham trend, I got myself this cute little bikini top that doubles up as a crop top from the brand Boohoo.
How amazing is this sunset? Apparently, this is what the Gili Islands are famous for. Incredible sunset views! And of course the Instagram swing shot 😉
By far one of my favourite tops at the moment. I styled this StyleAddict Bowie Top with floral short from Asos to give it major beach vibes. Don’t be afraid to mix your prints as I did with this starry top with floral shorts.
The best part about being on an island… Wearing swimsuits ANYWHERE! This bright coloured one-piece was something I was looking forward to wearing on my trip. The moment I saw this piece online, I knew it was going to be my statement swimsuit for the summer holidays. Bright and bold colours are always good wardrobe staples for a beach getaway.
If you haven’t already noticed, white seems to be a reoccurring colour theme. Here I’m wearing a lace up bodysuit from StyleAddict! Yes, another top from StyleAddict. I love their stuff! Do check them out if you haven’t already. Link here 😀
I was truly amazed by the sea waters at Gili T. I had no expectations heading to this island but seriously! How amazing does this look!! This bikini is by PrettyLittleThing from Asos. I’ve also styled this as a crop top with denim and ankle boots for Good Vibes Festival last month. You can see the previous post – here. I’ve tried to look for a link to this look but it’s sold out 🙁 Sorry guys!
Of course, I didn’t forget to pack the off-shoulder top! Wearing this blush pink off-shoulder crop top from Revolve. Wore this out on a dinner date by the beach 😉 What I like about this top is that it scrunches at the top and the bottom, so it hugs onto your body and fits well. I don’t have to worry about tugging my top all night to make sure it stays in place.
Babes, I’ve linked all the items at the end of this post. So do scroll down if you’d like to shop the looks.
I wore this ruffle top on my last day on this island! Blue hues are always a good go-to for island holidays. I always prefer a lighter tone for the day. This top is perfect as the material is very light and airy. Also loving the open-back! Paired it with my pink sunnies for a funkier look.
